In an attempt to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, which threatened to overwhelm the nation's healthcare system, government officials at national, state and local levels have declared states of emergency and encouraged or required extreme social-distancing practices, as well as the closure of many businesses, stores and restaurants. Current federal guidelines, including a recommendation to avoid gatherings of more than 10 people, have been adopted at various levels -- sometimes as mandatory orders. In some places, residents have been ordered to stay home.

Therefore, we have canceled all church activities. However, we are making efforts so you can stay in contact with your church. Very soon, Pastor Brown will be bringing his sermons via YouTube. There are already over a years worth of his sermons in audio. Additional resources will be implemented so you can stay in touch, up to date on events and to continue your spiritual growth.

There are many resources available on the church's website. We encourage you to take advantage of them to strength and uplift you. Continue to read God's Word and be in prayer.

Pray for our world, our leaders, and health professionals, as well as our most vulnerable brothers and sisters.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
— Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)

Then you will call, and the Lord will answer;
    you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.

“If you do away with the yoke of oppression,
    with the pointing finger and malicious talk,
and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry
    and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,
then your light will rise in the darkness,
    and your night will become like the noonday.
The Lord will guide you always;
    he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
    and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
    like a spring whose waters never fail.
Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins
    and will raise up the age-old foundations;
you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls,
    Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.

Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?
