In an attempt to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, which threatened to overwhelm the nation's healthcare system, government officials at national, state and local levels have declared states of emergency and encouraged or required extreme social-distancing practices, as well as the closure of many businesses, stores and restaurants. Current federal guidelines, including a recommendation to avoid gatherings of more than 10 people, have been adopted at various levels -- sometimes as mandatory orders. In some places, residents have been ordered to stay home.
Therefore, we have canceled all church activities. However, we are making efforts so you can stay in contact with your church. Very soon, Pastor Brown will be bringing his sermons via YouTube. There are already over a years worth of his sermons in audio. Additional resources will be implemented so you can stay in touch, up to date on events and to continue your spiritual growth.
There are many resources available on the church's website. We encourage you to take advantage of them to strength and uplift you. Continue to read God's Word and be in prayer.
Welcome to the First Baptist Church of Cross City web site. We're pleased to provide you with information about our church, its beliefs, mission and ministries. You will also find many resources to encourage you in your relationship with the Saviour of all men, Jesus Christ.
Whether you are looking for a spiritual family to connect with or seeking information about one of our upcoming events, we hope your search will ultimately lead to the discovery of God's glorious purpose for your life and to the peace Jesus promised to those who look to Him.
